Great Gifts Holiday Shop!

Dear friends, as usual I am terrible at posting in a timely fashion, especially lately as work picks up and so does the holiday frenzy. But oddly enough this post has to do with both work, and holiday shopping.



Sarah Carr, The Bridge, and many other tireless volunteers and organizers have pulled together an awesome month long shop (!) that will be open every day in December at The Bridge PAI, beginning this Friday, December 3rd. It will feature the work of about 40 different vendors, myself included, and I encourage everyone to go check it out. I can't wait to see all the awesome goodies up for sale!

Between prepping for this gift show, visiting the family in North Carolina, and my regular job, I have been a little distracted, but in a good way! Being busy usually means I'm surrounded by friends and social activities, and this week will be no different. A much needed ladies' knitting night tomorrow, followed by an impromptu business trip to NYC early next week (and I'll be going up a day early to visit Miss Romeo, among others). I am not ready for the new york cold, but sitting in my barely heated apartment for the next few days should be training enough. In serious need of a space heater over here, people.

New cute little cards by dee & lala. The beaver one comes as a 9" x 9" print and I am totally going to have to get it.

We just got a ton of new adorable cards in at O'suz from blue pool road. They are really totally adorable.

ps - I'm going to get a digital camera on friday (finally) and you can bet I will start posting much more after that.

Oh, and I love that the sun is staying up a little longer, and it's just a teeny bit warmer. Come on spring.

Also...Alex Karpovsky, director of the film Woodpecker slept in our spare room last night. too bad I was sick and wearing silly pajama bottoms so I didn't socialize with him. He did however, leave behind a thank you beer on his pillow. How thoughtful...

Things from this summer

Here are a few of the hand drawn cards I made this summer. Most of them were pawned off on Kristin, and the Mansard Roof was of course from when I was crazy over making cards based on song lyrics. I would like to actually get that going, especially Me & Julio :)

So I guess if any one has any ideas for a song lyric that would make a really good literal transition into a card design, let me know.

Time to revive this thing

So I haven't posted in a long time, which is in direct connection to the fact that my desk at work is now extremely exposed to the eyes of half of the executive staff of the company. So, I've decided that it might not be the best thing in the world for me to sit around and look for pictures to upload on my blog.

As you all may know, I have great dreams of beginning work at my beloved O'Suzannah soon. Fingers crossed that is. Dates and times still need to be discussed, but I mean, it has pretty much been my life goal.

And with this in mind I'm trying to steer this blog back in the direction I originally intended for it, a design-ish blog, full of things i like and full of things I make. I have an insane number of projects going on right now. None at the point of completion, and nor do I have a digital camera to snapshot them if they were, but I'm working on both those things. The winter months are right around the corner, which means i need to get finished up on a lot of the scarves I've been working on and other deliciously warm woolly things.

Suzannah invited myself and several other lovely ladies out to a stuff swap this weekend, and I must say, nothing gives me more inspiration than being around such crafty ladies and being in that store. So, of course, the prospect of working there is super motivating me to keep going.
