I just finished reading The Age of Miracles by Karen Thompson Walker, and let me tell you, I loved it so, so much. It's a mix of adolescent fiction and science fiction and an apocalypse tale. The planet starts turning more slowly each day. The world as we know it fades away into memory, and amidst the chaos they try to hold onto the strange normality of suburbia and middle school.
