2012: A Really Awesome Year

A new year has begun, and the more I think about 2012, I realize that it was a really good year for me, full of lots of adventures and good times with friends. Here are the highlights:

In January, Ginny and I headed to Philadelphia to visit our friends James and Taylor after going way too long without seeing each other.

In April, Cameron and I headed to DC for the Living Social Craft Beer and Food Truck Festival, and it was delicious.

Also in April, Jessica, Dominic, and I went to the Shadrock Music Festival in Richmond. It might have rained, but it was worth it.

April continued to be an awesome month, and my newest nephew, Asher Thomas, was born!

In May, I went to LA to visit my brother and got to hang out with my favorite kids.

While I was there I also embraced my Buffy obsession and went to visit Sunnydale HS. I am an epic nerd.

In July, Cameron and I went to Hampton, VA, to visit my sis-in-law's family, and to spend more time with the kiddos. 

Also in July, Cameron and I ventured to Delaware to attend the Firefly Music Festival.

In August, my cousin Anna and I got to spend some quality time together on a cruise to the Bahamas and Grand Turk.

And while on the cruise we got to celebrate my grandmother's 80th birthday!

In September, we went to Avon, NC, to celebrate Rachel's 30th birthday, and I got to witness the making of jake and lauren do pictures

September was a big month, and two of my favorite couples tied the knot. Pictured here are Carly and Travis at their big love party in Richmond.

And then Ginny and Wes got hitched in Abingdon, VA.

In October, Cameron and I celebrate 1 year together by heading to the Homestead and taking a falconry class.

I spent Thanksgiving in LA with my parents and my brother's family, and of course, little Asher. 

And then more Asher, pictured here with my mom, when I saw my whole family in North Carolina over Christmas.

So yeah, it was a great year. Not to mention that I started a great new job and started taking graduate classes online through SCAD! I can't wait to see what 2013 has in store!
