Adrian Tomine Love - New Yorker Covers
So I popped in Strand last weekend and purchased Summer Blonde. I always end up getting an Adrian Tomine related product when I hit up Strand (postcards, journals, graphic novels...love it all), and I almost couldn't resist the new Strand tote bag that Tomine designed.
I stayed up late one evening last week reading through all of Summer Blonde, and I love his work as always. I really admire his style, and have often been inspired to make a little comic after reading one of his books. I remember a few years ago when I saw the first Adrian Tomine cover for the New Yorker...How great are these? Love, love, love the first two

Thanks O'Suzannah!
You all know that I am a shameless supporter of the shop I work in part time here in Charlottesville, O'Suzannah, and every month they do an interview with a featured artist whose work can be found in the store. Imagine my shock when they asked me to be their featured artist for February. I could not be more honored. Thanks you ladies!!

Bakerby
So, as you know, I am a sucker for anything Danish, and I recently started following Cecilie Askov's Blog Bakerby. I found it after seeing this great photo of her on Copenhagen Street Style

Her blog is full of inspiration, fashion, and glimpses into life in Copenhagen. I love it.

What Type Are You?
I just took the What Type Are You? Quiz at Pentagram and got Archer Hairline. I think it sums me up pretty well.

My Weekend
James, Ashley and I went up to new york this weekend to visit friends, and did a lot of fooding and roaming around the city. I got to hit up a lot of great restaurants (like Jadis with Dianne, Carly, and Travis), drink amazing coffee every morning (mmmm Gorilla Coffeeee), and checked out Greenwich Letterpress. So fun. Here are a few little photographic tidbits from our adventures.
[Later Saturday I finally got a chance to walk on the highline. It was awesome but I really wish the snow wasn't covering everything...Must go back in the summer.]

I think perhaps I should tell you about my weekend
We had yet another massive snow storm here in Charlottesville. I'm starting to wonder if this whole town was magically transported about 20 degrees north and someone just forgot to tell me. I guess I would have just liked enough warning so i could order some clothing from 66 degrees north or something.

But here, without my desired winter gear, I passed the time with my good friends Rachel, Harrison, and Ashley (definitely a good group to get snowed in with) and did my best to trudge through the snow to and from the downtown mall. Overall, this is what my weekend looked like:

Dores and Dores Vintage
So i recently found myself in possession of a lovely necklace by Dores. She is currently sold out of everything, but I'm anxiously awaiting her next update, as I'm nuts for so many of her pieces of jewelry. And be sure to check out her great blog as well. Here's the one I was able to snag:

I was on the hunt for the perfect long necklace and this light wood and brass necklace is just the thing
Other jewelry goodies by Dores consist of darling woven bracelets and amazing earrings, but I just can't resist her wood necklaces.
But no worries, until her jewelry shop is replenished you can just check out her vintage shop.
