Happy New Year (You're my only vice)

I'm sitting here in my apartment, about to head out to run errands before seeing some friends this evening, and I am overwhelmed by how fast this year has gone by. I always have big hopes and dreams for myself, most of which never come into being, but this year, I'm trying to just be happy with where I am right now. I have a good job, great friends, and plenty to be happy about. So in an effort to start this new decade out right, I'll leave you with one of my favorite Camera Obscura Songs. Happy 2010!

Time for the new year

So, Christmas is finally over, and while I love the holidays, I love the feeling I get right after christmas when i know that there is NOTHING i need to prepare for. It can get pretty stressful, and I love being able to kick back and relax. Now it's time to spend some time on myself. Which means painting my nails, buying some boots, and drooling over this rachel comey bag at urban outfitters. It's pretty darn cute.

Oh, and snuggling with my cat whom I was separated from over the holidays. Tragedy.

Holiday Cards (and a few others!) now at O'Suzannah!

Dear friends, I now have a few apocketnovel cards up for sale at O'Suzannah, my favorite-est of favorite shops. There you can find both of my Christmas cards, and a few other notes like the "I Like You (A Lot)" and the "Happy Birthday (I Didn't Forget)" Elephant card. I know at least one card has sold so far, so I'm feeling good about this move into my first retail location! The last week has certainly been a whirlwind as far as this venture goes!

But for now I leave you with a photo of scotchie, during her morning wake up routine, aka staring at me while I get ready for work, and glaring at me for disturbing her.

Charlottesville Holiday Craft Fair!

So you all may be wondering why I have been completely neglectful of the blog, but I have been crafting away here in my apartment, preparing for the Charlottesville Holiday Craft Fair this weekend. Dozens of vendors from around the region will be gathering this Friday and Saturday in Downtown Charlottesville with plenty of goodies for Christmas gifts, or just a treat for yourself.


You can find me there on Saturday, Dec. 5th, at the Southern (formerly Gravity Lounge) from 10am-5pm. (Sadly I won't be able to make it to the Friday show.)
